Uniform:
Rainbow tops are available through your Rainbow Guider, from the Cambridge Scout Shop, or from the Girlguiding UK online shop.
Rainbow bottoms are not required, and any appropriate trousers, leggings, or shorts can be worn. We ask that girls do not come to meetings in skirts.
Rota Help:
All parents are required to help at one meeting per session. This can be any family member who is over 18. Histon Rainbows (Thursday) will assign each parent a day to help,if they have not signed up on the first night.
Fees:
The subscription fee is £15 per term payable on the first meeting of each term. This covers all craft supplies, rent, insurance, and volunteer training needed to keep the unit running.
The Census fee is £15 at the beginning of each Rainbow’s first term.This fee helps toward the annual subscription paid by each member to Girlguiding UK. This £15 is not the full amount, and is only paid once by each Rainbow.
Gift Aid:
We can claim 20p for every £1 that is given in subscriptions and census fees. We use this money to subsidize the census fee amount.
Brownie Waiting List:
Rainbows are not automatically put on the waiting list. Please email brownies@histondistrictguiding.ork.uk for more information.
